Donald Sears, Sr. was born on September 15th, 1921 in AL.1 Donald Sears, Sr.'s father was Francis Washington McEwen and his mother was Annie L. Casey. His paternal grandparents were George Washington, Jr. McEwen and Attis Alice Allen. He had four brothers and a sister, named Francis Washington, Jr., William Gordon, Harold Casey, Wendell Hall and Edna Earle. He was the third youngest of the six children.
