Reuben Elmore Jordan 
Reuben Elmore was born on July 17th, 1837 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Reuben Elmore's father was Reuben Elmore Jordan and his mother was Julia Ann Spivey. His paternal grandparents were Jonas Jordan and Elizabeth Elmore; his maternal grandparents were Aaron, Sr. Spivey and Charlotte Nixon. He had three sisters named Elmira Sophia, Charlotte Pocohontas and Alabama Rebecca. He was the youngest of the four children. He had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Samuel W., John Archer, Andrew J., Thomas A., James Alfred, Elizabeth, Lucinda P., Elizabeth S., Sarah Ann, Frances and Mary Emily. He died at the age of 43 on May 21st, 1881 in Coosa Co., AL. He was buried in Jordan Private Cemetery located near Kellyton, off Coosa County Rd 65 on the Five Star Plantation with Historical Ann Jordan Lodge; established circa 1836.1 1 General Notes

and to the Jefferson Medical College at Philadelphia. From each of these
places he graduated and received his degrees."
