From the DAR's "Roster of Revolutionary Soldiers and Patriots in
Alabama": Aaron Spivey II, b 18 Sept 1753 in Isle of Wight Co., VA, d 2
Sept 1834 in Autauga Co., AL. Buried near Old Spivey Church, Deatsville,
Alabama. Service as Pvt. N.C. (Reference: Hillsboro N.C. Treasury Office,
1785, N.C. Rev. Accounts Vol. 9, p. 95, Folio 2, Raleigh, NC). The
"Roster" also states that Aaron Spivey II gave material aid to the
Revolutionary cause and was a clergyman. The Roster also says that Mary
Eugenia Walker DeGroat (DAR# 539173), Mattie Bibb
Fitts (DAR# 53564) and Eleanor Dark Gay Scarano (DAR# 524484) joined the
DAR under Aaron Spivey. Aaron's children included Dixon Spivey, Ephriam
Spivey, William Spivey, Charlotte Spivey, Mary Spivey Whetstone (wife of
William Charles Whetstone), Nancy Ann Spivey (wife of Reuben Jordan), and
Aaron Spivey III.
