Alabama Rebecca was born on October 3rd, 1835 in AL.1 Alabama Rebecca's father was Reuben Elmore Jordan and her mother was Julia Ann Spivey. Her paternal grandparents were Jonas Jordan and Elizabeth Elmore; her maternal grandparents were Aaron, Sr. Spivey and Charlotte Nixon. She had a brother and two sisters, named Reuben Elmore, Elmira Sophia and Charlotte Pocohontas. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Samuel W., John Archer, Andrew J., Thomas A., James Alfred, Elizabeth, Lucinda P., Elizabeth S., Sarah Ann, Frances and Mary Emily. She died at the age of 87 in April 1923 in Tallapoosa Co., AL.1 General Notes
