Mary Emily was born on October 30th, 1828 in Wetumpka, Coosa Co., AL.1 Mary Emily's father was Reuben Elmore Jordan and her mother was Emily Dillard. Her paternal grandparents were Jonas Jordan and Elizabeth Elmore; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Dillard and Anne Hutchings. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Samuel W., John Archer, Andrew J., Thomas A., James Alfred, Elizabeth, Lucinda P., Elizabeth S., Sarah Ann and Frances. She was the youngest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Reuben Elmore, Elmira Sophia, Charlotte Pocohontas and Alabama Rebecca. She died at the age of 85 on October 30th, 1913 in Wetumpka, Elmore Co., AL. She was buried in Wetumpka Cemetery, Wetumpka, Elmore Co., AL.1 1 -
