Sara Irene was born on May 8th, 1866 in AL.1 Sara Irene's father was Vaughn Hilburn and her mother was Melinda Amanda Smart. Her maternal grandparents were William Edward Smart and Avis Driggers. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William E., Hardy, Allen, John D., James L., Oscar M., Mollie E., Mollie, Margaret M., Aughty and Alma.
