Roxie Gothard 
Roxie was born on December 30th, 1885 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Roxie's father was George H. Gothard and her mother was Mariah Elizabeth Bridges. Her paternal grandparents were Travis Glenn Gothard and Aletha Williams; her maternal grandparents were William Bridges and Delila Jane Jacks. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Travis Glenn, William Stephens, George Ellis, Ira J., Eric A., Jessie, Lula M. and Cora. She died at the age of 58 on June 24th, 1944 in Coosa Co., AL. Flint Hill News
Mrs J. H. A. Miller and little daughter, Cloy, spent Saturday and Sunday
with the former parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Gothard, at Hanover. (1)

Coston Miller (her husband's nephew) remembers her asking him to help
her work after the dew was gone in the morning. One time he was asked to
hold a goose while she got feathers. The goose accidentally slipped from
his hands and pinched her. It upset him more than it did her.
She died of cancer during WWII.
