His paternal grandparents were Travis Glenn Gothard and Aletha Williams; his maternal grandparents were William Bridges and Delila Jane Jacks. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Stephens, George Ellis, Ira J., Eric A., Jessie, Lula M., Roxie and Cora. He died at the age of 81 on July 7th, 1961 in Hanover, Coosa Co., AL. Travis was named after his Grandfather Travis Glenn Gothard, who served
in Confederate States Army. He died in the Camp Chase Prison, Columbus,
Franklin Co., OH
