John Victor Davis 
John Victor was born on April 19th, 1859 in Lowndes Co., AL.1 John Victor's father was James Anderson Monroe Davis and his mother was Malissa Jane Castellaw. His paternal grandparents were John V. Davis and Julia Parker Knight; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Castellaw and Mary Louisa Jordan. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Felix Monroe, Sidney, Polly Jennette, Eliza Victoria, Mary Lou, Julia Parker, Lucy Carrie, Margaret Amanda and Edna. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 83 on May 6th, 1942 in TX. He was buried in Ira Cemetery, Scurry Co., Texas.1 1 -
