Pamela Carol Clanton 
Pamela Carol was born on March 21st, 1956 in Opelika, Lee Co., AL.1 Pamela Carol's father was John Thedford Clanton and her mother was Living Bridges. Her paternal grandparents were Willie Claud Clanton and Addie Underwood; her maternal grandparents were Evie Davis, Sr. Bridges and Emma Catherine Miller. She had a sister named Melba Joe. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 14 on July 16th, 1970 in Tallapoosa County, AL. Pam was an excellent pianist. She took her first lessons when she was in
the second grade and continued all her life. At the church she attended,
Pine Grove Baptist Church, she played the piano as well as sung. At times
she would be greeted by the minister at the church with the sheet music
he wanted her to play and sing for worship. She accepted this responsible
gracefully and performed as though she had already practiced it. Later
she learned to play the organ. She helped on Sunday nights at a local
Methodist Church by playing the piano and organ. The minister was
impressed with her singing and asked her to be a member of the chorus.
She had never taken sing lesson and was informed to take Her parents, my
Aunt Polly and Uncle Ted, revealed this family history to me, on 24 Mar
2003, when we visited them. Aunt Polly fixed us a nice prepared lunch. Ron
