Olin Leeroy Allison 
Olin Leeroy was born on August 18th, 1883 in TX.1 Olin Leeroy's father was Alfred Fletcher Allison and his mother was Sarah Ann Elizabeth Weathersbee. His maternal grandparents were Charles Oliver Weathersbee and Minerva Rachel McEwen. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph Elonzo, Charles Ottis, B., Alfred Lester, Jr., Annie Laura and Freddie Mae. He was the second oldest of the seven children. Olin worked at the Blazing Stump Bar located on Fitzhugh St. in East
Dallas (Dallas, TX).
The 1900 census for Van Zandt County, Texas, gives his birth date as
1884, but the family Bible record is believed to be correct.
His birth date and marriage information came from the A. F. Allison
Bible, although part of the marriage date was not legible. We believe
they married in 1910, although that is not yet proved. Olin and Myrtle
had one child, Lucille, who lived in Dallas in the 1970's. She had
wanted her father to live with his brother Otis in his later years, a
plan which was not feasible because Otis was physically unable to care
for anyone else at that time.
Olin is buried in Ridgepark Cemetery in Hillsboro, Texas. It is
believed by family members (Charles O. Allison, Jr., and Sybil Allison
Cooper) that he is buried next to Alfred Fletcher Allison, his brother.
There is no marker at this site, but there is a depression in the ground,
indicating that someone is buried there. This plot of land in Ridgepark
Cemetery is owned by the Allisons, and has several unused sites in it.
