In the 1900 CENSUS for Hill County, Texas, B. is listed as "Ben", living
with his parents, four brothers, and one sister in Hillsboro.  He was ten
years old.
In the 1910 CENSUS for Hill County, Texas, B. Allison was listed
living with his wife and one daughter.  He was 29 years old, worked as a
house carpenter, and rented his home.  His wife Vera was 18 years old.
They had been married one year, had one child who was still living. Their
daughter Hazel was less than one year old.
His working as a carpenter must have been a short-lived occupation
for him.  He also worked as a fireman at the East Grand Station in
Dallas, and as an ice puller in an ice plant in Dallas.  We have one
photograph of B. standing on the steps of a trolley car wearing a
uniform.  Where this photo was taken, we are not sure, but we know that
he worked most of his life for the transportation system in Houston.
His name is spelled in various ways.  In the family Bible his name is
spelled "Bea"; in the 1900 census, it is spell "Ben"; in some family
papers, it is spelled "Bee".  People in the family all seem to agree that
they never saw his name spelled any way except with only the letter "B".
Family tradition says that B was married several times, all ending in
divorce, but with the exception of Vera, the names of his wives are not
