Ottis and his family lived at 1326 So. Henderson St. in Dallas, across
the street from his sister, Annie Laura Wilcox (1331 So. Henderson).
When Lonnie Allison moved to Dallas in 1926, he and his family lived just
two doors down from Ottis. For many years these three children of Alfred
Fletcher Allison lived as neighbors. Ottis worked as an engineer for the
Dallas Water Plant.
The 1900 CENSUS for Hill County, Texas, lists Alfred F. Allison with
his wife Sarah and their six children, Lonnie J. (age 19), Alan L. (age
15), Charles O. (age 12), Ben (age 10), Lester A. (age 8), Annie L. (age
4).
In the 1910 census for Hill County, Texas, Ottis is shown as working
as an engineer at an ice plant, but later he worked as an engineer at the
Dallas water plant.

INDEX OF DEATHS, 1903-1940, Texas
Ottis and Maude had six children, but only three survived to adulthood.
The Texas Index of Deaths for 1903-1940 list two of the infants of C. O.
Allison, one dying on 27 June 1911, and the other dying on 1 March 1915.
Charles and Sybil said that there were three infants who did not
survive. The first was a boy, born before Sybil, who died at the age of
two weeks. This is probably the one who died in 1911. The second was
stillborn, and came between Sybil and Charles. This must be the one who
died in 1915. There was a little girl who was stillborn between Charles
and Rosa Lee, and this child is not listed.
