Ann was born on January 21st, 1712 in Providence, Providence Co., RI. Ann's father was John Mathewson and her mother was Deliverance Malavery. Her paternal grandparents were James Mathewson and Hannah Field. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Daniel, Israel, Lydia, Elizabeth and Jemima.
