!In 1556 John Field authored/computed and had published the first astronomical Almanac (Ephemeris for 1557) in England to be based on the Copernican Heliocentric model. His Almanac contained a Forward by John Dee, England's leading mathematician of the period and advisor to (Catholic) Queen Mary (died in 1558, the same year John Field was honored,) and subsequently to (Protestant) Queen Elizabeth (half-sisters and daughters of Henry VIII).
