Alan was born in 1180 in RUNNEMEDE,SCOTLAND.1   Alan's father was Lord Roland De Galloway and his mother was Elena De Moreville.  His paternal grandparents were Lord Uchtred De Galloway and Gunhilda De Dunbar; his maternal grandparents were Constable Richard De Morville Of Scotland and Avis De Lancaster. He had a brother named Thomas.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-sister named Dervorgilla I.  He died at the age of 54 in 1234 in SPM Legit.  He was buried in DUNDRENAN,SCOTLAND.1 1
