Amy Naomi was born on September 27th, 1729 in Adams Co. Pennsylvania. Amy Naomi's father was John II Cox and her mother was Hannah Jenkins. Her paternal grandparents were John I Cox and Rachel Embree Carr. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, William, Samuel, John, Sarah, Naomi, Ruth and Hannah B.. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas, Jacob, Solomon, Dinah, Rebecca and Mary.
