James M. Markin 
James M. was born on August 18th, 1814 in Ironton Ohio.1 James M.'s father was Charles W I Markin and his mother was Lucinda Dechard. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, John, Charles W II, Daniel H., Cornelius B., Andrew, William H, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 85 on February 27th, 1900 in Mason Township, Lawrence County, Ohio.1 
James M. and Elizabeth (Betsey) were married in a religious ceremony on August 18th, 1841 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1 They had five sons and seven daughters, named John Wesley, Cornelius Singleton, James M., Daniel W, George S, Mary (Polly), Caroline, Anna, Sarah Ann, Emaline (Molly), Martha and Nancy Arena.
