James M. Markin

James M. was born in 1850 in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.¹   James M.'s father was James M. Markin and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship.  His paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named John Wesley, Cornelius Singleton, Daniel W, George S, Mary (Polly), Caroline, Anna, Sarah Ann, Emaline (Molly), Martha and Nancy Arena.  He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He had three half-brothers named Amos, William Sherman and Benjamin F.
