Mary (Polly) Markin

Mary (Polly) was born in 1843 in Lawrence County, Ohio.¹   Mary (Polly)'s father was James M. Markin and her mother was Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John Wesley, Cornelius Singleton, James M., Daniel W, George S, Caroline, Anna, Sarah Ann, Emaline (Molly), Martha and Nancy Arena.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children. She had three half-brothers named Amos, William Sherman and Benjamin F.
