John Wesley Markin 
John Wesley was born on June 10th, 1842 in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.1 John Wesley's father was James M. Markin and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship. His paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Cornelius Singleton, James M., Daniel W, George S, Mary (Polly), Caroline, Anna, Sarah Ann, Emaline (Molly), Martha and Nancy Arena. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He had three half-brothers named Amos, William Sherman and Benjamin F. He died at the age of 50 on September 9th, 1892 in Salulk County, Wisconsin.1 
John Wesley and Martha Mary Emily were married in a religious ceremony on January 27th, 1864 in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.1 They had four sons and three daughters, named Lorenzo Dow, John Andrew, Charles Edward, Lewis Erna, Cornelia Jane, Sarah Ann and Della Mae.
