George S Markin

George S was born in 1859 in Ohio.¹   George S' father was James M. Markin and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship.  His paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named John Wesley, Cornelius Singleton, James M., Daniel W, Mary (Polly), Caroline, Anna, Sarah Ann, Emaline (Molly), Martha and Nancy Arena.  He was the youngest of the twelve children. He had three half-brothers named Amos, William Sherman and Benjamin F.  He died at the age of 79 in 1938 in Elk Township, Vinton County, Ohio.¹ 

They had a daughter named Mary.
