Margaret was born about 1778. Margaret's father was Kinnith Murchison and her mother was Catherine McIver. Her paternal grandfather was William Murchison; her maternal grandparents were Roderick McIver and Nancy McKay. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Duncan , John, Roderick , William, Kenneth B., Colin, Donald, Isabel, Jennet, Mary and Nancy. She died about 1862 in Moore County, NC.-
