Duncan Murchison 
Duncan was born in June 1776. Duncan 's father was Kinnith Murchison and his mother was Catherine McIver. His paternal grandfather was William Murchison; his maternal grandparents were Roderick McIver and Nancy McKay. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, Roderick , William, Kenneth B., Colin, Donald, Margaret, Isabel, Jennet, Mary and Nancy. He died at the age of 81 on September 27th, 1857.-
