William Murchison 
William was born in 1705 in Lochalsh, Inverness, Scotland. William 's father was Duncan Murchison. His paternal grandparents were Murdoch Murchison and Mary MACLEOD. He was an only child. He died at the age of 77 in September 1782 in Moore Coutny, NC.General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: William fought in the Battle of Culloden in Scotland and came to America with his sons in 1772. He settled in Little Pocket Creek, Moore Co, NC.
DEATH: Headstone Inscription: "Died Sept 1782 aged 77 years"
