John Murchison 
John was born in 1781 in Moore County, NC. John's father was Kinnith Murchison and his mother was Catherine McIver. His paternal grandfather was William Murchison; his maternal grandparents were Roderick McIver and Nancy McKay. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Duncan , Roderick , William, Kenneth B., Colin, Donald, Margaret, Isabel, Jennet, Mary and Nancy. He died after 1856.-
