William C Halbert 
William C was born in 1848.1 William C's father was Pleasant Halbert and his mother was Nancy Crawford. His paternal grandparents were James Halbert and Elizabeth Smith; his maternal grandparents were John Crawford and Margaret Buchanan. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James C, John T, Pleasant W, Martha A, Margaret C, Mary J and Emily Naomi. He was the youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Isaac Buchanan, Laura G and Tulia.General Notes
