Jannet Buchanan 
Jannet was born on October 25th, 1791 in Washington, Virginia.1 Jannet's father was Matthew Buchanan and her mother was Elizabeth Edmiston. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Buchanan and Johanna Hays; her maternal grandparents were William Edmiston and Agnes Holmes. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Andrew, William, Samuel, Nancy, Joanna, Isabella, Martha, Margaret and Mary. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 75 on June 23rd, 1867 in Moore Cemetery, Washington, Virginia.1 General Notes
