David Buchanan 
David was born on August 30th, 1764 in Augusta, Virginia.1 David's father was Andrew Buchanan and his mother was Johanna Hays. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Buchanan and Martha McNutt. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Matthew, Samuel, John, Joseph, Isabella, Martha, Mary, Jane, Margaret, Hannah and Eleanor. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 79 on August 26th, 1844 in Davidson County, Tennessee.1 General Notes
