Rutha Skeen 
Rutha was born in 1777 in Rowan County, North Carolina.1 Rutha's father was Matthew Skeen and her mother was Ruth Lamar. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, James, Matthew, Verlinda, Jane, Tabitha and Sarah. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died in Montgomery County, North Carolina.General Notes
Rutha Skeen married William Hearne 29 November 1799 in Rowan County, North Carolina.
