Jacob Skeen 
Jacob was born in 1769 in Rowan County, North Caroli.1 Jacob's father was Matthew Skeen and his mother was Ruth Lamar. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James, Matthew, Verlinda, Jane, Tabitha, Rutha and Sarah. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 66 in 1835 in Coweta County, Georgia.General Notes
Jacob married Alaphair Hearne, daughter of Purnell Hearne and Nancy Rachel Hearne. Nancy Rachel Hearne is the daughter of Thomas Hearne and Nancy Wilson.
