Sarah Hancock 
Sarah was born about 1802 in Franklin County, North Carolina. Sarah's father was John Hancock and her mother was Jane Skeen. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Hancock and Mildred Dawson; her maternal grandparents were Matthew Skeen and Ruth Lamar. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Mathew, John, Martin, Benjamin, Judge, Jane and Kathy. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.-
