Jane Hancock 
Jane was born about 1800 in Franklin County, North Carolina. Jane's father was John Hancock and her mother was Jane Skeen. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Hancock and Mildred Dawson; her maternal grandparents were Matthew Skeen and Ruth Lamar. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Mathew, John, Martin, Benjamin, Judge, Sarah and Kathy. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
