William Butler 
William was born on November 26th, 1837 in Trimble County, Kentucky. William 's father was John Ferguson Butler and his mother was Frances Jane Farley. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Farley Butler and Nancy Walden; his maternal grandparents were Forest Farley and Frances Ellington. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Joseph Forest, John Breckinridge, Mary Elizabeth, Mary Frances, Martha Reeves, Nancy Ann, Eunitia Ann, Elizabeth Wright, Sophia White, Ella Edwina and Edmonia Isabel. He was the second oldest of the twelve children.General Notes
