Sophia White Butler 
Sophia White was born on November 27th, 1851 in Trimble County, Kentucky. Sophia White's father was John Ferguson Butler and her mother was Frances Jane Farley. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Farley Butler and Nancy Walden; her maternal grandparents were Forest Farley and Frances Ellington. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named William , Joseph Forest, John Breckinridge, Mary Elizabeth, Mary Frances, Martha Reeves, Nancy Ann, Eunitia Ann, Elizabeth Wright, Ella Edwina and Edmonia Isabel. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.General Notes
Sophia and Robert were married at the home of her sister Elizabeth Wright Butler Garriott (Mrs. William Garriott).
