Laura Brook was born on July 19th, 1894 in Trimble County, Kentucky. Laura Brook's father was Benjamin Franklin Butler and her mother was Lillian Clara "Lilly" Trout. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Forest Butler and Nancy Jane Pendleton; her maternal grandparents were William Francis Trout and Ruhama Brook Cooper. She had two sisters named Allie and Mary T.. She was the youngest of the three children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William , George W. and Bulah B.. She died at just 21 days old on August 9th, 1894 in Trimble County, Kentucky.General Notes
Ben and Lilly Trout Butler were married 18 Oct 1888, Ben was twenty-seven and Lilly was nineteen. They lived on a farm near Milton, Trimble County, Kentucky. Lilly and Ben's children were Allie (b. 16 August 1890), Mary (b. 2 March 1893), and Laura Brook. Baby Laura was born 19 July 1894 and lived only a few weeks. She died 9 August 1894. Her mother, Lilly, died on 15 October 1894, a few months after having given birth to Laura Brook.
