James Oliver Benton

James Oliver was born in 1819.¹   James Oliver's father was John Benton and his mother was Rebecca Sauls. He had two sisters named Remmy and Susan Ann. He had eight half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Joseph C., William Sylvester, Edward H., Child, Benjamin Gaines, Henry Richard, Mack Doran, Berry Garris, Martha, Arthie, Vinnie, Jane and Mary.  He died at the age of 82 on May 25th, 1901.¹
