William Poindexter 
William was born about 1771 in Louisa Co., VA. William's father was William Poindexter and his mother was Margaret Daniels. His paternal grandparents were John P. Poindexter and Christian Gossage. He had four brothers and a sister, named Peter, John, Charles, Joseph and Sally. He was the third youngest of the six children.-
