John Poindexter 
John was born in 1765 in Louisa Co., VA. John's father was William Poindexter and his mother was Margaret Daniels. His paternal grandparents were John P. Poindexter and Christian Gossage. He had four brothers and a sister, named Peter, William, Charles, Joseph and Sally. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 59 in 1824 in Fayette Co., Kentucky.-
