She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Edward Preston, Edwin, William Preston, Meredith Marshall, Martha W., Mary, Victoria, Emily M., Pattie, Virginia Overton and Elizabeth Cowles. She was the sixth youngest of the twelve children.-
