William Fitzhugh Carter 
William Fitzhugh was born in 1791. William Fitzhugh's father was Charles Carter and his mother was Anne Butler Moore. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Elizabeth Hill; his maternal grandparents were Bernard Moore and Ann Catherine Spottswood. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Robert Hill, Robert Hill, Bernard, John, Bernard Moore, William, Butler, Anne Hill, Catherine Spotswood, Mildred Walker, Lucy, ?, ? and Culphemea. He was the fourth youngest of the fifteen children. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Hill, Charles William, George, Charles, Landon, Edward, Mary Walker and Elizabeth Hill. He died at the age of 61 in 1852.-
