Bernard Carter 
Bernard was born in 1776. Bernard's father was Charles Carter and his mother was Anne Butler Moore. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Elizabeth Hill; his maternal grandparents were Bernard Moore and Ann Catherine Spottswood. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Robert Hill, Robert Hill, John, Bernard Moore, William, Butler, William Fitzhugh, Anne Hill, Catherine Spotswood, Mildred Walker, Lucy, ?, ? and Culphemea. He was the fourth oldest of the fifteen children. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Hill, Charles William, George, Charles, Landon, Edward, Mary Walker and Elizabeth Hill. He died in 1776.-
