Jessie DUKE

Jessie was born in April 1889 in Cannon County, TN.¹ Jessie's father was Alexander Merion DUKE and his mother was Lucy Ann ALMON. His maternal grandparents were James ALMON and Frances RAWLINGS. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Francis, James William, Calvin V., Elijah, Colonel, General Jackson, Thomas, Captain Wylie, Baby, Bettie Emmaline and HILLrie. He was the eighth oldest of the twelve children.
