Jeremiah was born in 1808.  Jeremiah's father was Richard Forrester and his mother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Cotham.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Cotham and Elizabeth Griffin. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Hezekiah, Josiah, Silas, Arthur, Richard, Laura, Dinah, Lucinda and Sarah Virginia.  He was the sixth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 19 in 1827.
