Hezekiah was born in 1797.  Hezekiah's father was Richard Forrester and his mother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Cotham.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Cotham and Elizabeth Griffin. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Josiah, Silas, Jeremiah, Arthur, Richard, Laura, Dinah, Lucinda and Sarah Virginia.  He was the oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 50 in 1847.
