George McGregor was born on April 7th, 1888 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.1   George McGregor's father was John Mathieson and his mother was Sarah Bliss.  His paternal grandfather is John Matheson and his paternal grandmother was Mary McKinney; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Bliss and Jessie Sim. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas Archibald, Frank, William James, Jessie, Mary and Helen.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 75 on November 23rd, 1963 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
