Thomas Archibald was born on July 25th, 1879 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.1   Thomas Archibald's father was John Mathieson and his mother was Sarah Bliss.  His paternal grandfather is John Matheson and his paternal grandmother was Mary McKinney; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Bliss and Jessie Sim. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Frank, William James, George McGregor, Jessie, Mary and Helen.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 39 on August 23rd, 1918 in Queensland, Australia.2
