Frank was born on August 4th, 1881 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.1   Frank's father was John Mathieson and his mother was Sarah Bliss.  His paternal grandfather is John Matheson and his paternal grandmother was Mary McKinney; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Bliss and Jessie Sim. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas Archibald, William James, George McGregor, Jessie, Mary and Helen.  He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 62 on August 28th, 1943 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
