David, known as David, was born in 1834 in Wilkinson Co, Georgia.  David's father was Wiley CANNON and his mother was Charlotte SHEPPARD.  His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel CANNON and Frances SUMNER. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named James, Lemuel, Wherry Or Whorry, Lewis, John, Elbert, Jessie, Robert, Melissa, Zilpha and Sarah.  He was the third youngest of the twelve children.  He died1883 in Cass Co, Texas.
