Harriet A Thornton

Harriet A was born in 1855 in Morton, Bingley, Yorkshire, England.¹ Harriet A's father was John Thornton and her mother was Mary Mitchell. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Thornton and Harriet Asquith; her maternal grandparents were John Mitchell and Sarah (Mitchell). She had four brothers and four sisters, named Asquith, Fred Mitchell, Andrew, Thomas, Grace, Sarah Jane, Emma and Maria. She was the oldest of the nine children.
